In 2011, the Institut Català de Paleontologia organized the First International Symposium on Paleohistology (ISPH). The goal of this meeting was to establish a biennial symposium to address the need for an international paleohistology forum where researchers could exchange ideas, approaches, and methodologies concerned with vertebrate hard tissue biology.
